About NCSEA The National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) is a professional membership association dedicated to advancing the practice of structural engineering nationwide. Through education, advocacy, career development and community, NCSEA supports practicing structural engineers to be highly qualified professionals and successful leaders.
Position Overview The Business Development Coordinator plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and strengthening relationships with sponsors, exhibitors, members, and industry partners. This role manages the full sales cycle — from prospecting and qualification to account management — for STRUCTURE magazine, NCSEA's annual conference, NCSEA Membership, and the NCSEA Foundation.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Development
Generate and qualify leads; manage the full sales cycle to close new business
Maintain and grow relationships with existing advertisers, sponsors, and industry partners
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across publications, events, and membership offerings
Maintain accurate pipeline tracking in Pipedrive CRM
Event & Sponsor Support
Serve as primary point of contact for exhibitors
Coordinate logistics and maintain exhibitor and sponsor data in event platforms
Support sponsor fulfillment and engagement efforts
Systems & Administrative Support
Manage CRM database accuracy and process automations
Execute timely follow-up communications
Support additional initiatives as needed

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
Preferred:
2+ years of sales experience
Experience in associations or nonprofit organizations
