About ASB
The American Society of Baking (ASB) is a community of commercial baking professionals striving for the advancement of our field. Through continuing education, networking opportunities, and professional development, we facilitate the growth of our industry with one member at a time. The Society strives to facilitate personal and professional development through education and networking. The Commercial Bread Production Course is one of ASB’s premier technical education programs, combining ten (10) self-paced online modules with a hands-on four-day lab workshop — conducted at ASB member facilities — giving baking professionals a deep-dive into commercial bread production techniques. The June 2026 cohort will be held at the Northern Crops Institute, Peltier Complex in Fargo, North Dakota.
The Opportunity
ASB seeks a 1099 independent contractor to manage all onsite logistics and assisting with pre-event coordination for the June 2026 cohort (approx. 12–15 participants), with the goal of establishing a recurring coordinator role as ASB expands to quarterly offerings. This role is the operational backbone of the workshop, handling everything from catering and check-in to daily run-of-show so instructors can stay focused on teaching.
