Objective: Under the direction of the Membership Manager, assist with coordination of SIAM’s Activity Groups (SIAGs), membership promotion and member acquisition, and administration of member programs.
Skills: Computer skills, familiarity with Zoom, attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills, outgoing personality
Requirements: Experience with Microsoft office suite, particularly word and excel; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Responsibilities include:
1. Manage 23 SIAM Activity Groups:
Corresponding with leadership of SIAGs, scheduling meetings for new and current officers, creating materials for meetings and teleconferences, administration of elections, assisting leadership with completion of charter renewals, maintaining website changes at officer’s request, and redirecting officers to the correct point of contact at SIAM for any questions outside the scope of current role.
2. Maintaining SIAM’s Engage online communities:
Helping community moderators make informed decisions on Engage content, answering questions from members that moderators cannot answer, and assisting in troubleshooting Engage maintenance issues.
3. Preparing and distributing membership promotions for SIAM conferences
Tasks include preparing materials, packing for conferences, creating email marketing campaigns, and occasionally attend the conference to recruit members
4. Overseeing SIAG webinars & websites.
5. Helping to ensure data integrity and e-business performance by communicating with customer service about data issues that arise and participating in e-business testing.
6. Assisting Membership Manager with committee work as needed. Works closely with the Committee on SIAM Activity Groups.
7. Assisting with member correspondence as needed. Coordinates retention communications from SIAG chairs during the membership renewal campaign.
8. Assisting with production of membership promotion as needed including monthly Inside SIAM and Unwrapped articles, research, tasks related to student chapters, tasks related to sections, membership renewal, new member promotion and production of promotional materials, customer service, and developing reports to target diverse segments of membership.
9. Occasionally attending SIAM events for the purpose of promoting and increasing SIAM membership.
10. Performs additional duties as requested by the membership manager
This position is full-time and is asked to work at SIAM’s office in Philadelphia, PA two days per week.
