The Optimizely Engineering Manager leads the optimization of the association’s member-facing digital experience capabilities to increase and enhance member engagement in alignment with evolving digital strategy.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating across stakeholders to analyze the needs of the organization, establish a shared vision for the ARA customer digital experience, and develop the roadmap of planned improvements.
Defining and leading projects for the improvement of customer-facing capabilities. Coordinating projects and efforts across staff, vendors, and development contractors. Providing technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project.
Leveraging technical expertise to improve websites, ecommerce, and integration across systems and data. Installing, configuring, implementing, customizing, and extending the websites to meet the association’s unique needs.
Overseeing all operational aspects of the association’s websites, including technical infrastructure, security, upkeep, and troubleshooting.
Developing and maintaining fluency with association Digital Experience Platform. Guiding marketers, content creators, and other staff in the most effective use of the technology in their roles.

Qualified candidates will have:
5+ years of experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of full stack web development principles and practices.
Experience configuring, building, and maintaining various web platforms, including Optimizely (EpiServer) and WordPress sites.
Knowledge of industry best-practices, structures, and modules.
Skills in PHP, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, SQL, and HTML.
Experience building custom capabilities using .NET technologies.
