JOB SUMMARY:
Provide strategic leadership to expand and deliver APHSA’s fee-for-service business lines, including organizational effectiveness consulting, conference & events, training, and related service offerings. Oversee business development, drive revenue growth, and ensure operational excellence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to develop innovative, high-impact services that meet member needs and strengthen APHSA’s market presence.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead strategy and execution for APHSA’s professional services portfolio to ensure high-quality delivery, strong customer outcomes, and business growth. Build and maintain relationships with members, funders, and strategic partners across sectors to support growth and innovation.
Oversee business development, including new service/product design, sales strategy, marketing coordination, and revenue generation. Oversee customer engagement, onboarding, service delivery, and ongoing success tracking. Monitor market trends, member feedback, and industry benchmarks to continuously refine services.
Lead operational planning, pricing, risk management, and service performance tracking.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align services with APHSA’s mission, strategic goals, and member value.
Direct strategic execution, collaboration, and effective execution of APHSA conferences and events to support members, partners, and other key stakeholder’s requirements.
Partner with APHSA’s Executive Leadership Team to cultivate a high-performance work environment that demonstrates APHSA’s core values. Serve as key member of the Executive Leadership Team. Help formulate and administer company policies, program design, and develop long-range strategic goals and objectives. Represent APHSA at public events, speaking engagements, and professional forums.
Co-develop and manage the Professional Services Department budget. Oversee fiscal tracking of contract and grant-funded work and development/management of event budgets.
Provide coaching and supervision to Department management-level staff
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Public Policy, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field required
Master’s degree in Business Administration is preferred
Demonstrated experience in leading internal and/or external consultancy services providing sustainable customer solutions
10+ years of experience in public human services, nonprofit management, or social impact sectors, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex programs and drive organizational change.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders at local, state, and national levels.
Knowledge of data analysis, impact measurement, and program evaluation methodologies.
Expertise in budget management, fundraising, and securing grants to support social impact work.
Ability to apply knowledge and experience to relevant human services programs, practices, and policies
Ability to travel (up to 20%)
Competencies crucial for success in this role include: driving execution, leading change, establishing strategic direction, cultivating partnerships, and relationship management
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to work independently from a remote locations
