The Education Market Association (EDmarket) is searching for a dynamic, strategic, and inspiring President/CEO to lead our organization into its next chapter. This is a rare opportunity to lead a respected nonprofit association that serves as the hub for professionals who design, furnish, and equip learning spaces.

As President/CEO, you will serve as the chief executive and strategic leader of EDmarket. You'll work closely with our Board of Directors, lead a talented staff team, and oversee operations, finance, member engagement, advocacy, and external relations. Your leadership will directly impact the education market landscape.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead & Inspire: Guide EDmarket’s strategic vision and culture while empowering a high-performing team.
• Drive Strategy: Execute strategic and operational plans aligned with the association’s mission and objectives.
• Ensure Financial Health: Oversee budgets, monitor investments, and ensure responsible financial stewardship.
• Support the Board: Serve as staff liaison to the Executive Committee and key Board committees; shape agendas and provide informed policy recommendations.
• Strengthen Relationships: Act as the public face of EDmarket; build strategic partnerships across industries, government, and educational institutions.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: Safeguard the organization’s nonprofit status, legal compliance, and record-keeping.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven leadership experience at the executive level in a membership-based organization, association, or related nonprofit.
• A strong grasp of strategic planning, financial oversight, and board governance.
• Outstanding communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
• A collaborative, mission-driven mindset with a passion for education and innovation.
• Experience managing a team and nurturing professional development.
• Ability to navigate a wide range of responsibilities — from contract negotiation to public relations.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Background in the education market or education-adjacent industries
• Experience in advocacy, public policy, or government affairs
• Familiarity with trade shows, conferences, or professional development programming
