Responsible for all planning and logistics related to conferences, including workshops, committee meetings, special events and housing. Manage the workflow of the Conference Planning Committee. Ensure the committee is clear on deadlines and responsibilities. Use content management system to manage workshops, speakers, and scheduling. Negotiate and prepare all contracts including, but not limited to, hotels, convention center, catering, lead retrieval, and service contractor for approval. Work closely with hotel and convention center event managers, the Convention & Visitors Bureau, vendors, and local host agency. Determine potential future conference sites.
