What You'll Do:
As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and impact by connecting with powerful and influential industry professionals. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect Engagement: Identify and engage potential new members, event attendees and sponsors through innovative outreach efforts, including research, prospect list creation, networking, and cold calls.
Strategic Sales: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve membership, event attendee and sponsorship targets.
Presentation Expert: Conduct presentations and meetings with prospective members and sponsors to communicate the benefits of aligning with the Industrial Supply Association.
Exceptional Service: Utilize your stellar customer service skills to assist our stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to handle membership inquiries, address invoice issues, manage relationships and more.
Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns to attract new members, event attendees and sponsors.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, leads, and follow-ups in our tracking system.
Industry Insight: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
Performance Reporting: Prepare regular activity and results reports and present performance updates to the management team.
Member Onboarding: Manage the onboarding of new members, including a smooth and timely processing of applications, sending invoices, following up on payment, delivering welcome emails, and conducting orientation calls to familiarize new members with the organization’s offerings and benefits.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
1 to 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in a membership-based or sponsorship-focused role.
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
This is a 100% remote position so you must be a self-motivated individual with a results-oriented mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
Passion for the industrial supply channel and a willingness to learn.
