We are looking for a law firm marketing/BD professional who would like to fill a newly created role with the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) in Washington, DC. The Partner Program Relationship Manager will build relationships with major law firms and financial institutions through the ABI Partner Program, serving as a primary contact for senior partners and bankruptcy practice leaders. Responsibilities are to help grow revenues, strategize, plan and support current and future-focused market-development activities and attend/support ABI conferences (in beautiful settings with great people).
The Partner Program Relationship Manager will be responsible for developing and executing programs for the ABI Partners, and work closely with the Chair of the Partners’ Bankruptcy and Restructuring practice and the Director of Marketing or Marketing Manager responsible for that practice. An understanding of decision making and budgeting within the firm is imperative.
Partner Program Relationship Manager will collaborate with key functions within ABI, including the Meetings and Conference, Public Relations and Communications, and Membership Teams, along with the Endowment Fund Manager, and work with the Education and other Leaders and Committees where defined appropriate. The Partner Program Relationship Manager will focus on growth of Partner Program revenues and help strategize, plan, and support current and future-focused market development activities, including go-to-market strategy, pipeline development, and business development.
The ABI is a non-profit organization of more than 13,000 bankruptcy and insolvency professionals, including attorneys, judges, law professors, accountants, investment bankers and turn-around specialists. The ABI Partner Program offers opportunities for members to market their products and services through sponsorships, thought leadership and advertising. • Minimum of three to five years of marketing, business development and/or sales experience in a professional services firm or closely related work environment; experience within a large national or international law firm preferred. • Extensive knowledge of the bankruptcy and restructuring industry. • Outstanding communication skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels, including ability to influence senior professionals and help them succeed in meeting their business development objectives. • Ability to work independently with a willingness to work hands-on to achieve objectives in an environment with little leverage. • Outstanding project management skills and the ability to juggle competing, shifting priorities. • Excellent attention to detail. • Consistent ability to meet deadlines. • Collaborative, team-oriented approach to work. • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce and Pardot, PandaDoc, Intacct, and iMIS, and be comfortable using the Adobe Creative Suite. • Experience with key internal communication and organization tools, including Asana, Microsoft Teams, and Box.com. • Must be in the office three days a week
