AGA’s Governmental Affairs & Public Policy Team works with industry stakeholders and AGA members to shape the clean energy future. The Coordinator supports AGA’s government relations objectives by supporting events and activities of the Department, government affairs committees, and political, and industry events where our members find value. The Coordinator participates on policy teams and external coalitions, and performs legislative functions such as covering hearings and monitoring, analyzing and summarizing legislation.
A qualified candidate’s resume will include an undergraduate degree, two years of related experience, and an understanding of the legislative process, public affairs, politics and political campaigns.

AGA employees currently have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely. The employee’s team determines one day each week, and the employee determines the others. The American Gas Association requires all staff to pass a background check and sign an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment.
