Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Field Relations, in the Member and Field Relations Department, the Coordinator, Committee and Volunteer Support provides administrative support to the Member and Field Relations team in areas of national committee and volunteer support. The Coordinator plays a key customer service role with AFA Board members, Field leaders and AFA members. This position is responsible for the logistics of key volunteer leadership meetings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
National Board & Committee Support (approximately 30% of effort)
Coordinates all aspects of 4-8 Board Meetings per year to include communications, event logistics, preparing read ahead materials, and travel reimbursements.
Serves as staff liaison for the Nominating Committee process to include collection of nominations, scheduling meetings and preparing committee materials.
Provides support to other committees as assigned by VP, MFR.
Serves as primary customer service agent and volunteer support coordinator for national volunteer leadership.
Customer Service (approximately 30% of effort):
Serve as customer service representative for Field and Membership inquires including email and phone coverage.
Data Entry and Fulfillment (approximately 20% of effort):
Perform data integrity projects as assigned by VP, MFR or Sr. Manager, Field Relations
Conducts data processing related to data integrity efforts and membership management
Event and Program Support (approximately 10% of effort):
Support AFA’s National Convention as assigned by VP, MFR or Sr. Manager, Field Relations
Other Duties as assigned (approximately 10% of effort):

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent work experience
Education and Experience Preferred:
Customer service experience required; nonprofit or military support experience preferred
Experience with databases and ability to learn quickly; Salesforce experience preferred
Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to problem-solve and develop short and long-term solutions
Ability to be creative and assist in marketing initiatives
Strong organizational and ethical practices
Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with or able to learn additional business software
