The American Council of Engineering Companies of VA (ACEC/VA) is seeking a Project Coordinator. The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the ACEC/VA team in any assigned task regarding the day-to-day operations of ACEC/VA including, but not limited to, membership management support, events management, and organizational administrative support. This position is an important part of representing ACEC/VA as a very professional, efficient, and member-oriented organization.
The ideal candidate is positive, self-motivated, process-oriented, and a fast learner, with an exceptional attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the President with membership operations by updating and maintaining the membership database and lists, answering questions about events, and sending invoices/receipts.
Assisting with day-to-day planning of events and meetings, including following up with speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and venues, budgeting F&B for all events, A/V, and promotion.
Administrative support, including office inventory, computer directory upkeep and filing, mail distribution, calendar maintenance, and assisting the President and other Directors as needed.
Leadership development, including team participation, continuing education, and attending staff meetings.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience of general office, data management, and project coordination experience required.
Experience in a non-profit work environment preferred.
Experience with conference services and meeting planning preferred.
Experience with database management, communication platforms, and website maintenance preferred.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google applications required.
Familiarity with budget management
Ability to utilize basic computer tasks/functions (email, file directories, etc.).
Ability to work on multiple tasks independently as well as collaboratively to meet deadlines.
