Work with Government Relations team to schedule Hill meetings with staff and Members of Congress.
Assist in preparation and planning for various meetings and DC fly-ins
Maintain and coordinate calendars, meetings (Zoom, Teams, and in-person), contacts, for government relations and strategic investing teams
RSVP to fundraiser and add to Government Relations team calendars with details
Coordinate monthly calls for the SBIA membership with all industry councils and member working groups
Coordinate with industry council and working group chairs on their feedback for monthly agendas, assemble final agendas and circulate to participants
Track Capitol Hill
Research Capitol Hill contacts as directed.
Create a list of action items from meetings and track their progress
Track scheduled hearings and markups in relevant Congressional Committee and add to calendars with details
Prepare presentations and memos about regulatory and legislative matters
Testimony & Comment Letter Preparation
Coordinate the submission of Congressional regulatory letters and testimony to appropriate committee
Political Action Committee (PAC) Support
Review weekly fundraising invites and alert GR team based on 2023 budget
Keep and update spreadsheet of needed outgoing quarterly contributions
Keep and update overall PAC budget (annual contributions contributed/allotted to Members)
Support PAC operational duties as needed
Industry & Membership Engagement
Assist in responding to requests of information from membership and others.
Assist with outreach to SBIA members for participation on SBIA research initiatives
Outreach to members and non-members as needed to support staff projects
Event Support
Assist with member hill visits, fly-ins and other GR events
Assist with planning junior-level in-person networking events
Assist with planning in-person women’s networking events at SBIA Private Equity Conferences
Meeting Record Support
Represent the association and take minutes on industry coalitions, working groups, and other trade associations meetings a needed
Take minutes at regularly scheduled SBIA member working group meetings
SBIA Programmatic Support
Communicate with external participants of the SBIA Uplift Foundation
Maintain database of status and progress of SBIA Uplift Foundation
Administrative Support
Complete business errands, as assigned
Monitor vanity email boxes for submissions and questions
Monitor SBIA job board to ensure postings are fresh
Update SBIA website as needed
Maintain government relations and strategic investing databases and department files
Proofread and edit documents
Other duties as assigned
