The Game Manufacturers association (GAMA) is the professional trade association of the tabletop game industry. Our members create, promote, and sell board, card, role-playing and miniature games. The association has more than 1,000 member companies in 25 countries.
The Education & Committee Coordinator is responsible with the implementation, execution, and evaluation of educational programming as well as assist volunteer committees to be successful.
The position can be either remote or based out of our Columbus Ohio office. Candidates should be able to work as part of a goal-oriented, collaborative team and be comfortable with a high level of engagement through video meetings, teleconference, and other methods of online engagement that keep our staff connected.
The position reports to the Member Services Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with arranging meetings and conference calls with committees; develop and distribute agenda materials; draft, distribute, and archive meeting minutes and ensure follow-up on all action items.
Update analytics and progress reports in preparation of committee meetings and board meetings.
Assist with executing operational logistics for educational events, including, but not limited to; speaker invitations and communication, technology set-up, registration, tech rehearsal, scripting, slides, recording distribution, and post-event wrap up.
Responsible for coordinating educational programming with in-person and online events.
Work with staff to create and maintain educational content library.
Review and provide edits for education and annual meeting marketing emails.
Assist Tech & Creative Manager with updating website content
Assist with monitoring the GAMA education email inboxes.
Able to travel to provide on-site support during the GAMA EXPO and Origins Game Fair.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience in educational content planning for professional trade associations a plus
Project management (Trello) and telecommunication (Zoom, Teams, etc.…) software
Nonprofit volunteer management experience a plus
