THE ORGANIZATION
The Residential Real Estate Council (RRC), was established in 1976 to provide real estate brokers with shared knowledge and tools. Recognizing the need for advanced education, the Council developed training courses for sales agents and established the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation.
Headquartered in downtown Chicago, the RRC is recognized as the leading provider of real estate education and networking for residential real estate agents, and the CRS Designation is considered the most prestigious designations a real estate agent can achieve.
THE POSITION
RRC is seeking an experienced Director of Membership. Under general supervision, The Director of Membership provides leadership and direction in the delivery of exceptional services to RRC’s members and volunteers by promoting RRC’s Mission - “empowering the real estate professionals to reach their full potential”. The Director of Membership will have a firm understanding of the organization’s benefits, products and programs and how they can best meet the needs of members at all stages in their career. This position will work closely with multiple departments to facilitate enhancements to program offerings. The Director must maintain a firm understanding of the many aspects of membership behavioral data collected and leverage analytical tools to develop reporting that highlights current, relevant, trends and opportunities.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):
- Development and coordination of comprehensive member recruitment and retention program which includes outreach campaigns, website content, motivating volunteers to participate and engage in programs; works with Marketing team to produce promotional materials and analyzing results and providing recommendations for improvements.
- Development and management of new member onboarding programs designed to build relationships with members and to aid in improving retention goals.
- Development and implementation of a member engagement strategy to increase member benefit awareness and usage through email and other communications.
- Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member and volunteer satisfaction.
- Provides leadership and guidance on best practices for addressing member and volunteer needs.
- Assesses and identifies new opportunities for member and volunteer growth.
- Manages Member Services staff; performs regular employee evaluations to determine areas of improvement.
- Assists CMSO with the development of the overall annual operating budget. Works with staff to create individual program budgets.
- Works with marketing/communications staff and other internal stakeholders to develop membership toolkit for volunteers and other collateral for recruitment.
- Assesses and analyzes information collected on our membership and leverage that information for a better understanding of member behaviors.
- Development and oversight of periodic membership surveys including surveys completed in coordination with outside vendors.
- Represents RRC at business meetings and industry events as needed
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLs
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in membership management
- Strong technical skills in AMS systems and ability to interpret data to develop operational plans.
- Strong planning and organizations skills required, demonstrated ability to plan, analyze and coordinate activities.
- High level of initiative, creativity and excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent persuasive communications skills
- Positive and upbeat, energetic and service-oriented association professional
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication
- Extremely organized, a self-starter, agile facilitator and resourceful team player.
- Demonstrable analytical thinking and business insight.
- Exceptionally oriented to handling details and follow-up with minimal supervision/reminders.
