Job Description:
The Manager, Continuing Education and Learner Experiences is responsible for successful implementation and execution of the ADA's Learning Programs for dentists, office managers, dental assistants and hygienists (including SmileCon). This position designs transformative learning experiences in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Continuing Education and Learner Experiences and in the process, produces tangible member value and net income for the association. This position is responsible for speaker and content management, as well as working collaboratively with various stakeholders on the marketing and execution of all learning programs.
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5 years of combined experience with managing of execution of educational programs in various delivery modes (in-person, digital, asynchronous). In lieu of a Bachelors degree, 9 years of experience is required.
- Excellent management, oral/written communications and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to be collaborative, interpersonal, have a creative mindset, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of best practices in adult education and event management.
- Must be able to work independently/under pressure, work as a team player and team leader.
- Ability to demonstrate a history of sound business judgment, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to understand how up and down stream impacts work products and effectively interact with members, staff and external contacts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in eLearning applications, LMS, and webinar/web conferencing platforms.
- Extensive evening and/or weekend work might be necessary to meet critical deadlines.
- Travel to Annual Meeting (9-11 days); up to three site visits (3-4 days each); CE Programs (varies).
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of large meetings, especially medical meetings.
- Association background is a plus.
