The Website and Content Manager will oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of all digital properties (ACTFL websites, intranet, mobile applications, communities, and any partner portals, etc.) and help define and develop ACTFL’s digital content ecosystem. This role is responsible for several key initiatives related to ACTFL’s online marketing activities: Content ecosystem design and implementation, management of the Content Management System (CMS), web content strategy development, webpage creation and editing, and managing 3rd party tools on websites.
This position is cross-departmental, and matrix oriented by nature, and the successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of managing complex content strategy across an organization with diverse teams. Additionally, the ideal candidate brings cross-functional skills and a “Swiss army tool” attitude and willingness to step in and contribute to broader team and organizational goals. Finally, an innovative, ever-learning mindset is critical for success in the role.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing the content presented on ACTFL internal and external website
Responsible for creating, editing, posting, updating, and retiring content working within our CMS system(s)
Audit and maintain organization for ACTFL’s Digital Content Ecosystem
Focus on the user experience and optimization with an understanding of information architecture and appropriate user and usability testing
Track metrics such as page load time, bounce rate, etc. through Google Tag Manager and Analytics
Partners with the Marketing and Communications team to develop customer-facing and internal web pages for mobile and desktop users, utilizing interactive and engaging design elements and media
Set the agenda for managing improvements to the site; track and analyze site analytics to determine areas in need of update serve as the primary point of contact for identifying, troubleshooting, and resolution of site performance issues, providing superior internal customer support
Recommend policies and workflows for web content development, and ensure the organization is aware of updates and projects across all digital properties.
Collaborate with website vendor to submit content for the new ACTFL website
Perform all other duties as may be assigned.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
3+ years of experience in website content management
3+ years of experience in marketing and communications
Technical aptitude of Content Management Systems (CMS)
Experience with Craft CMS a plus
Experience in content strategy and governance helpful
Experience in Google Suite products a plus
Good understanding of site architectures, Google Analytics, and UX
Technical aptitude of HTML5/CSS3 creation and editing, Adobe Creative Suite, JavaScript, and PHP
Functional understanding of modern, responsive site construction, configuration, and maintenance.
Good working knowledge of web layout and presentation best practices
Excellent editorial, written, and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent customer service and consultant experience
