NSBA is looking for a Digital & Legislative Content Manager who will help develop and implement marketing, digital and social and communications projects to support all NSBA programs. This individual will manage and perform activities for designing, maintaining, modifying, and monitoring websites and social platforms of the association. The Manager will identify ways to amplify existing content and develop new content relative to NSBA’s small-business policy priorities and in-line with the NSBA voice. The Manager needs to be strategic, fast moving, flexible, hardworking, extremely organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Ideally, they will have experience with web and social development as well as a background and familiarity with policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee and manage NSBA social media platforms
- Manage and update digital properties and campaigns
- Write legislative briefs and backgrounders
- Write and submit regulatory comments and letters to Capitol Hill
- Engage with reporters, policymakers, Hill staff and other small-business groups via social
- Manage NSBA’s Online Action Center
- Manage and update legislative target lists
- Daily maintenance of Website and collecting analytics
- Develop content and articles as necessary
- Manage analytics and provide reports on various NSBA properties
- Help develop and streamline NSBA digital assets
- Identify NSBA members to spotlight through social media

- Higher education degree
- Have 3-5 years’ experience at another trade association, Capitol Hill, or other relatable company
- Be growth-minded and willing to help NSBA expand our operations
- Be proficient at writing, researching, and learning policy issues
- Have experience in web design/maintenance, including analytics
- Be capable of managing and implementing digital strategies
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Be prepared to work from NSBA office in D.C. at least part-time during the onboarding process
