For nearly 70 years, the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) has served companies and professionals in the away-from-home food and beverage industry with content-rich conferences and innovative insights and best practices. We are a leading B2B trade association within the foodservice industry fostering community and providing our members with the tools, resources, connections, and programming necessary to improve their businesses.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Business Line Technology will provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. Communicate with employees and stakeholders to ensure our company’s technologies are used appropriately. Having a strong business acumen is essential in this role. Well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts. An excellent communicator and educator with the ability to take highly technical terms and put them into terms that the business needs and values.
Lead all IFMA’s technology needs and innovation, working closely with IFMA leadership to provide organizational efficiency and maximizing user experience to position the association for the future.
Lead, manage, audit, and oversee the business/organizational technology stack, including:
Association Management System (iMIS)
Learning Management System (Path)
Web Content Management System (Umbraco)
Email Marketing Management System (Informz/Higher Logic)
Virtual Event Platform (Pathable)
Marketing/Sales Management System (Hubspot)
Event Management System (Aventri)
Webinar Platform (GotoWebinar)
Ensure all systems are integrated for efficiency and strategic goals
Ensure systems are meeting IFMA strategic goals and member needs
Work closely with all teams to optimize and find technology efficiencies
Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
Help departments use technology profitably
Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
Build quality assurance and data maintenance processes
Monitor KPIs to assess technological performance
Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
Communicate technology strategy to partners
Requirements:
Proven experience with association information tool iMIS
Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
Ability to conduct technological analyses and research, and provide findings in business coherent terms
Excellent communication skills
Leadership and organizational abilities
Problem-solving aptitude
Qualifications:
Minimum 7-10 years’ experience; association experience preferred
Proficient with Microsoft product suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with Asana or other project management software preferred
Extremely meticulous
Excellent verbal and written skills
Well-developed people skills
Consummate collaborator
Entrepreneurial
High energy
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Bachelor’s degree required
Willing to commute to the Downtown Chicago office – up to 3 x’s per week
Compensation/Benefits:
Compensation commensurate with background and skill set
15% Bonus potential.
