We’re seeking a seasoned business professional experienced with non-profit work to support and grow our 500 national chapters and expanding international presence. The successful candidate will work closely with other business unit leaders to formulate the Local Chapter (a nonprofit arm of a for-profit business) and Member strategy to ensure its successful execution.
Responsibilities:
Champion and drive innovative strategies and tactics which lead to better attendance, engagement, and growth
Directly support chapter officers and members with training, resources, software, and solutions
Embrace and develop web technology without compromising in-person chapter engagements
Expand our local chapter and membership footprint nationally and globally
Manage the AAPC value proposition to ensure members are delighted with the benefits, services, and overall experience
Assist in the preparation and management of the budget for the Local Chapters business unit
Understand and build upon the factors attracting and engaging members
Cultivate and expand upon the key benefits to ensure strong member retention and new member growth
Drive business unit focus, manage culture, encourage strong work ethic, and foster an environment of trust and respect
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred
Background with non-profit organizations
Strong product management experience – ideally managing membership organizations, local chapters or similar volunteer services
Experience in healthcare a plus
Experience serving a large and diverse constituency or stakeholder group
Capability of acquiring and analyzing complex statistical data to measure and improve the performance of programs/services
Ability to be decisive even when confronted with limited information and to adapt to feedback and a dynamic market environment
Possess an innovative spirit and demonstrate vision and strong leadership skills
Excellent oral/written communication skills, including group facilitation and presentation
Very strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Extremely detail-oriented, hard-working and deadline-driven
Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
Ability to “own” an entire project (strategy, tactics, creative, ad copy, delivery, reporting, etc.)
