| The Controller will report to the CEO and oversee all accounting responsibilities for AGCVA Chapter, its 9 districts, Political Action Committee (PAC), and Virginia Construction Industry Educational Foundation (VCIEF): • Ensures overall GAAP, regulatory compliance, and internal control monitoring • Proactively initiates and facilitates continuous improvement of accounting processes and practices • Provides financial reporting including regulatory, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reporting • Prepares and analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, capital, revenue, and expenses • Prepares or reviews all schedules required by third party vendors, external accountants, and bankers • Reviews all credit card transactions • Assists with budget preparation • Manages association database • Manages association benefits including health, disability, dental, and life insurances, and HSA • Processes all new hire paperwork |
Additional Activities • Processes all credit card receipts • Processes all Accounts Receivable for AGCVA, PAC, and VCIEF • Enters Accounts Receivable summaries for districts • Processes all Accounts Payable invoices and payments for AGCVA, PAC, and VCIEF • Computes payroll; reports and remits withholdings to Federal and State agencies as required • Sets up new members in database and reports same to appropriate Regional Manager and AGC • Prepares month-end reports for AGCVA, PAC, VCIEF, and districts • Updates cash flow projections • Consolidates all district financial activity with AGCVA • Provides all year-end reports to external accountants for AGCVA, PAC, and VCIEF financial statement and tax return preparations; provides payroll reports to Federal and State agencies • Prepares AGCVA dues invoices • Mails verification reports to members; updates database with corrections/additions • Provides database information to Buyer’s Guide publisher • Prepares and submits lobbying registration and disclosures as required • Meets with benefit insurance provider prior to renewal to review changes
