This part-time position assists with a wide variety of administrative, customer service, and communications efforts for the Society. This position will assist with daily customer/member service and general office responsibilities, and will have some website, database, and social media responsibilities depending on skills/knowledge. Position requires excellent English written and verbal communications abilities, strong technology skills, and ability to pay attention to detail.
The Administrative Coordinator will assist with the following functions:
Development and distribution of Society publications, communications, and press releases;
Development of marketing materials for Society events and programs;
Distributing Society publications, communications, and other print/online marketing materials;
Maintenance of the Society website and social media platforms;
Maintenance of the membership database, ensuring data is current and accurate;
Management of the event registration process for Society events;
Responding to member email and phone inquiries;
Organization of Society membership and business records;
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills;
Strong computer/technology skills, including basic web design and familiarity with HTML;
Fluency in MS Office products and Windows;
Interest in working as part of a small (3-person) office in a fast-paced environment;
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
Preferred/Helpful Skills and Experience
Experience in an association or other nonprofit environment;
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite Products (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
Experience with social media, particularly Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn;
Experience with association management systems (AMS) would be helpful;
Experience with YourMembership.com AMS is a huge plus!
Additional Salary Information: Starting hourly rate is $15-20, dependent on qualifications;
15 – 25 hours per week, with possibility of occasional extra hours based on abilities; Flexible schedule available, hours must be between 9am and 4pm, Monday-Friday; Position could become full-time depending on abilities within the next year; This position does not include benefits.
