Growing North Michigan Avenue membership association seeks a highly motivated and extremely resourceful Communications and Content Development Manager.
The right candidate will create, promote, and leverage content for a variety of short- and long-form pieces with a primary focus on executive communications, scripts, reports, newsletter content, advertisements, press releases, emails, and advertorials across multiple departments.
Write, edit and oversee the development and production of association publications.
Serves as managing editor for AAID News.
Collaborate on communication strategy, planning and generating story ideas to support ongoing communications and marketing campaigns.
Research, write and edit content for electronic communications, including brochures, blogs, landing page copy, social media, press releases and magazine stories.
Plan, execute and track multiple projects, working closely with cross-functional team members.
Work closely with freelancers to develop a range of marketing collateral for numerous client campaigns, programs and events
Provide writing, proofreading and marketing assistance for all member communications, to include various email campaigns, e-newsletters, blogs and other communications
Track budgets and get price quotes for marketing materials
Create strategy for publication content
Develop schedules and adhere to deadlines for all deliverables as well as AAID News
Assist staff in developing marketing plans for membership recruitment, Annual Conference, District Meetings, and other products and services.
Oversee content strategy for AAID’s websites and social media sites
Supervises Social Media Coordinator
Serve as contact for press inquiries
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university, preferably in communications, public relations, journalism or English.
Minimum 4 years of related experience in corporate communications, public relations/advertising agency, or journalism.
