ASAM is looking for a passionate, talented candidate to fill a key position within our organization. This candidate should be a great relationship manager with the ability to negotiate and align our organization goals with potential funding partners. The successful candidate will have experience in grant funding processes and will be comfortable reaching out to foundations, government grant officers, CSR managers for unique fundraising initiatives. This position reports into the Vice-President of Marketing, Membership, and Engagement.
Proactively maintain ASAM in Federal, state and private grant systems.
Work with internal program staff to develop grant content, budgets, and financial reports.
Work with external organizations such as corporations, foundations and government agencies to acquire funding.
Participate in discussions with leadership team to identify key funding priorities for the organization
Establish processes for identifying and vetting new funding partners while maintaining and deepening relationships with existing partners.
Create a systematic, process-driven approach to outreach and relationship management.
Develop a timeline for grant submissions
Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects, including funding announcements, lead sharing, and/or possible partnerships.
Collaborate across department in identifying possible partnership marketing opportunities.
Steward a great experience to our funding partners when working with our organization – this candidate will represent our organization brand and be our partners’ liaison internally.
Estimated Time Allocation:
• 40% Time Spent – Grant identification, writing and tracking
• 30% Time Spent – Partnership development
• 20% Time Spent – Collaboration and partner integration
• 10% Time Spent – Administration, reporting and measurement

At least three years of experience writing and managing grant processes and experience developing federal grant applications, pursuing multi-year and large program funding
Experience working in healthcare or with non-profit organizations is a plus.

Assist with other initiatives as directed by the VP of Marketing & Engagement
