Overview The FSMA Project Coordinator would assist the Project Director and Training Coordinator with administrative and programmatic aspects of the Local Food Safety Collaborative to include: serving as a liaison with current and potential partner organizations; applying for agenda spots at grower conferences, assisting in reporting requirements; as well as developing agendas and providing knowledge capture at regular project meetings. In addition, the FSMA Project Coordinator would be responsible for managing the website and social media attached to the project including managing a blog calendar. The FSMA Project Coordinator will have some travel requirements to represent the project at a variety of meetings.
Duties Performed: • Work with FSMA Project Director to manage and monitor partner organization activities including regular check-in calls. • Review subrecipient reports and draft initial reports for the FDA both quarterly and annually. • Develop and manage a tracker of grower conferences and events. • Work with FSMA Project Director and Training Coordinator to write applications for FSMA and food safety workshops at conferences and events that growers will attend. • Develop agendas for regular project meetings, provide knowledge capture and share finalized notes after meetings. • Update and manage Local Food Safety Collaborative website ensuring resources are kept up to date, all project funded events are listed, and blogs are posted. • Develop and manage a blog calendar ensuring that partners and others complete content for the website. • Manage Facebook and Twitter for Local Food Safety Collaborative developing a food safety community for local growers and producers. • Administratively support project via expense review and invoice submission.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications: • Strong organization and attention to detail • Understanding of produce farms, food safety, and/or federal grants • A multi-tasker with strong ability to work under pressure • Strong writing skills and ability to adapt writing to different audiences • Experience with Facebook, Twitter, and WordPress on a professional level • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
