The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), a Washington, DC based trade association, is seeking a coordinator to be responsible for reviewing, coding, and processing outstanding accounts payable invoices and all staff travel reimbursements. The coordinator will also prepare annual tax filings of 1099 and 1096. Responsibilities also include supporting activities related to the accurate payment of all NAHB and affiliate bills and reconciling monthly accrued accounts with the general ledger.
Qualified candidates must be detail- and customer service-oriented, organized, motivated, and able to learn quickly. He/she must also work well under pressure and have the ability to handle competing deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are a must. Candidates should be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. Experience in Great Plains is a plus.
A minimum of four to six (4-6) years of experience in accounts payable, specifically in cash disbursement processing, is required. A four year college degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent in education and experience, is required.
