With a strong financial base, and the retirement of our current Executive Director, we’re looking for a new leader to work with the board of directors and promote family medicine in Oregon. This position allows many opportunities for decision-making, learning and professional growth in addition to a flexibly, family friendly work environment.
The ideal candidate will be: •Entrepreneurial, creative and visionary, with the ability to think big, while also managing details. •Organized, self-directed, and conscientious. •A self-starter, with the ability to think and act independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative team.
Position Requirements: •Leadership experience in successfully building partnerships, coalitions and membership organizations. •Knowledge of association management. If minimal experience with association management, must be willing to pursue a Certified Association Executive credential if requested by the board (on-line course). •Ability to convey passion and generate support for our mission. •Experience in budgeting and financial oversight. •Experience working with a board of directors. •Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. •Demonstrated ability to manage, oversee and complete projects in a timely fashion. •Willing to travel on occasion throughout the state and limited travel nationally. •Experience in the health field may be an advantage, but is not required.
