Georgia Health Care Association is actively seeking an Event Coordinator who will be responsible for assisting in the execution, coordination, and overseeing association events, including many on-site/off-site education sessions, annual conventions, tradeshows, board/committee days, and golf tournaments; providing outstanding customer service and organizing memorable events that meet quality expectations.
Position Title: Event Coordinator
Leads and supports association events
Assists leadership with identifying association goals and objectives in accordance with the strategic plan
Create and maintain event registrations
Print and mail correspondence related to events
Aid and field member event registration questions and continuing education requests
Provide on-site support for education/events
Create, distribute and maintain event itineraries, presenter bios and related materials
Insure cleanliness and operational readiness of training centers
Set up, confirm and communicate training/event logistics are managed appropriately
Greets members and acts as host to presenters and members needs
Report and maintain continuing education credit hours
Evaluate and analyze education feedback to increase quality of future events
Support special projects as required
Data entry and general administrative support
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of combined experience in hospitality or service and administration or customer service
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Highly professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to lift 30 lbs
Ability to interact well with customers on the phone and in person is a must
Ability to process on-site payments
Willing to travel for association events/education
Deadline driven and strong attention to detail
Must be forward thinking and take initiative
This position is full-time salaried, commensurate with experience.
