The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) is seeking a part-time Membership Services Assistant to assist in the coordination and implementation of member recruitment and retention efforts.
The person holding this position will provide excellent customer service both internally with staff and externally with NACWA members, potential members, and related parties. They will be expected to ensure membership inquiries are addressed courteously and effectively and information and research is completed in an accurate and timely manner. This position is responsible for many day-to-day administrative tasks including, but not limited to member and potential membership research and data quality, distribution of outreach materials, and development of reports, statistics, and analysis of membership engagement and recruitment initiatives. The position will be expected to effectively collaborate with many other departments in the Association but will report to the Director of Membership Development.
The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, is a team and customer service oriented individual; a proactive self-starter, and extremely organized. A successful candidate needs to also be detailed oriented while also able to “see the big picture” as it relates to the administrative tasks they are asked to accomplish. They must be tech-savvy and a quick learner in addition to having strong written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is required. Familiarity working with a database and HTML experience is a plus.
The hourly salary is competitive and commiserate with experience. This is a part-time, temporary position not eligible for benefits. No out-of-town, overnight travel is required for this position. This position is not eligible for telecommuting. NACWA’s offices are easily accessible by Metro and public transportation and located in the Dupont Circle area of Washington DC.
