Fairfax, VA based, international trade association representing the professional audio visual information communications systems industry has an immediate opening for an Exposition Sales Account Manager to join our Expositions Sales Team to sell exhibit space and sponsorship opportunities for the InfoComm International exposition held each June in the United States. Duties include: Prospecting and sales of new exhibitors; renewal of assigned past exhibitors; researching and sourcing new exhibitor prospects; maintaining exhibitor prospecting, sales, contact activity and follow-up records for assigned accounts. Maintaining a high volume of sales outreach activity including outbound calls, emails and in-person prospecting at industry events. Ability to successfully navigate through multiple levels of decision makers within organizations. Making presentations and selling to VP & C-Suite level executives.
This position requires a minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience; preference given for candidates with a successful record of new business development and exhibit space revenue generation.
Successful candidate must be a self-motivated “go-getter” who enjoys seeking out and closing new business. Preference given for an outgoing, customer-focused sales professional who projects a positive, “can-do” attitude who also works well as part of a team.
Professional B-to-B sales and written communication skills along with an attention to detail and timely follow-up is essential. Knowledge and previous use of floor plan management software (A2Z, ExpoCAD, Map Your Show, etc.), ACT, Salesforce or Microsoft CRM customer relationship database and Microsoft Office software is preferred. Associates Degree preferred and/or equivalent years of industry-specific work experience. Travel is required to attend expositions, industry events and in-person client meetings (approx. 30 to 40 days out of office per year). Remote employment may be considered.
