The Foundation Coordinator position provides critical administrative support to the IASLC Foundation which conducts annual fundraising efforts supporting Research Fellows and Young Investigators who will be the next generation of lung cancer physicians and scientists. Position will report to the Foundation Director and will requires close interaction with the Board of Directors, IASLC members, corporate and private foundation representatives, individual donors and internal staff. Non-profit foundation and/or association background is helpful.
Duties include but are not limited to: •Process and maintain contribution information in database and Excel spreadsheets. •Assist with program budget and contribution data. Import, export, sort and maintain data. •Research and compile reports on donors and contributions. •Process acknowledgements and other correspondence to donors. •Filing, electronic and manual. •Updating prospect lists for mailing and personal donor visits. •Assist in developing and preparing materials for meetings and mailings. •Assist with preparation and execution of fundraising events. •Prepare agendas and minutes for all Foundation meetings. •Compile updates for newsletter, website and eNews. •General administrative duties as required to assist foundation management team and donors.
Candidate must possess: •Strong computer and data entry skills – Microsoft Office Suite •Strong customer service skills, both written and verbal •Ability to prioritize independently •Problem solving capabilities •Accuracy skills, attention to detail •Organization skills and ability to meet deadlines •Ability to self-direct in a fast-paced environment •Experience with a donor database helpful
