The SHRM FOUNDATION is the charity affiliate of SHRM, and our work is only possible thanks to the generous support from passionate HR professionals and corporate sponsors who believe in our mission. We are seeking an energetic and passionate new team member who can help share our story with our supporters and build new relationships with potential supporters.

This team member will focus on driving revenue for our annual campaign by:
Growing, building and sustaining relationships with the nationwide network of SHRM chapters and state council volunteer leaders to support their efforts to raise awareness, activities and funds for the SHRM Foundation
Leading the SHRM Foundation's individual annual giving program
Managing fundraising events and activities held during SHRM conferences and events
Coordinating our scholarship sponsorship program
Organizing internal teams, systems and processes to keep our fundraising efforts moving forward
The necessary skills to be successful include:
Resourceful, solutions-focused problem solver who sees challenges as opportunities to build innovative solutions
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and strengthen relationships internally and externally
Strong business acumen including fantastic written and oral communication skills, with emphasis on great public speaking skills
Passionate and knowledgeable fundraiser with the ability to carry the vision to reality
Enthusiastic team player that is highly organized, flexible and customer-service oriented
Self-motivated individual with capacity to work independently, strong attention to detail and ability to produce the best possible outcome
Proficient in MS Office, website maintenance, and knowledge of social media outlets. Ability and willingness to learn additional systems, including email campaign software, SharePoint, and other SHRM systems.
The necessary experience to be successful include:
Bachelor degree with five to seven years of progressive relevant professional experience including a minimum of three years’ experience in fundraising or relationship management and sales
Demonstrated experience as a fundraiser, including experience in relationship management, creating and executing plans, communicating to internal and external audiences, motivating volunteers and leading fundraising events and activities
Experience managing partnerships with a variety of organizations and donors
