About the Job
The incumbent has principal responsibility for the functions related to the mandatory recertification of all BPS certificants during their seven year recertification cycle.
Manage the Recertification Process for Board Certified Pharmacists
Receive, evaluate and process applications for certification and recertification in all BPS specialties
Write and edit recertification documents and forms (e.g.. Recertification Guide, Addendum, and Professional Development CE Charts)
Track and communicate the certification status of each BPS certificant. Notify those eligible for recertification of the requirement. Conduct personal follow-up with certificants who do not submit recertification applications.
Communicate with BPS- approved Professional Development Providers to ensure that information is available to certificants related to the continuing education offerings for their specialty
Conduct outreach to current candidates regarding updates to recertification requirements
Maintain Recertification and Other Records in the BPS Database
Ensure accuracy of records in BPS database system for all candidates and certified pharmacists
Analyze recertification and other data and trends and prepare written and verbal reports to BPS management, specialty councils and the Board of Directors
Assisting in extraction of data from the certification database to produce email communications, surveys and mailing lists
Manage the electronic data transfer of professional development credits from BPS approved providers into the BPS database
Act as an information source and assist with other BPS activities
Respond to telephonic, written, and electronic inquiries regarding BPS policies and procedures, particularly related to recertification
Communicate with BPS- approved Professional Development Providers to assure that information is available to certificants related to the continuing education offerings for their specialty
A college degree or equivalent experience is required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant organizational/administrative experience; Database management experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other components of Microsoft Office Suite
