The Communications/Foundation Coordinator will assist in developing and implementing the association's communication/marketing strategies to successfully convey AMOA's value proposition to members and the industry through outlets to include social media, website content, e-news, member/program collateral just to name a few.
In addition, this individual will assist in managing the AMOA Coin-Op Cares Education and Charitable Foundation's Hesch Fundraising Booth and Scholarship Program.
Our ideal candidate is ambitious, with a knack for details, great proofing skills and a smile you can see through the phone or email. We need someone committed to working collaboratively with our executive VP, staff, board members and committees. In our small office environment you must be a self-starter who is also content to work independently and enjoy creating and implementing new initiatives.
Some college preferred; a degree in communications, journalism or marketing a plus.
Association experience a plus.
Familiarity with website design and content management, and experience updating web content and/or html programming helpful.
Professional experience working with social media programs including LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook as well as Hootsuite.
Experience with Constant Contact or similar email marketing program helpful.
Excellent grammar skills and ability to write quickly and concisely.
Meticulous proofreading skills with the ability to spot inconsistencies in design and layout.
Design experience a plus.
Superb organizational skills and capability to handle multiple overlapping activities; ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
Ability to handle demands of various personality types.
Maintain strong professional and positive demeanor.
Ability to travel to annual Spring and Fall Meetings and other industry events as assigned.
For 70 years, AMOA has been the voice of, and advocate for, those companies and individuals engaged in the coin-activated amusement, music, vending and family entertainment equipment business.
AMOA is primarily comprised of operator company members. Operators procure products--such as jukeboxes, video games, pool tables, electronic soft-tip dart machines, ATMs, redemption equipment, pinball, et...c.—then place and service these pieces in locations like bars, restaurants, bowling outlets and family entertainment centers, typically utilizing a revenue share model.
