Internationally recognized trade association seeks highly motivated individual to assess and manage cybersecurity risk and the safe exchange of health care data in various digital ways. The Director will lead in development of regulatory framework(s) pertaining to health information technology security, imaging informatics, and other topics of import to the Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA), a Division of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association.
The Director has primary responsibility for managing the MITA Cybersecurity Committee, and the Medical Imaging & Informatics and X-Ray Sections.
The position reports to the Executive Director of MITA, is located in Arlington, VA and travel up to 20% may be required.
Experience and Qualifications
Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred – informatics or cybersecurity studies a plus
More than 5 years’ experience within/among computer science, medical coding, health-based informatics, clinical decision support, medical image processing subject areas and preferably with cybersecurity management responsibilities
Exposure to health organizations, trade associations and Federal government processes important
Highly motivated, proactive, results-oriented with strong entrepreneurial and problem-solving aptitude
Proven ability to successfully manage meetings and achieve agenda outcomes including among individuals with diverse opinions and approaches
Refined communications skills, both written and spoken
Positive attitude and team player who demonstrates professional presence in all settings
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
