The National Association of Home Builders is seeking a creative, well-organized and experienced fundraiser to promote BUILD-PAC with NAHB’s membership through state and local events, NAHB councils and high donor contributors clubs. The position will plan and administer cost-effective fundraising programs around the country for designated states and will work closely with PAC trustees to promote BUILD-PAC at the state and local levels. In addition, the position will be responsible for BUILD-PAC communications including PAC content on nahb.org and regular communications to BUILD-PAC donors.
The position requires extensive knowledge and expertise in fundraising campaign development and management and strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively deliver campaign messages and persuade members and staff of BUILD-PAC’s importance. Person must be comfortable and have the ability to effectively ask members for a political contributions. Candidates should have knowledge of the federal legislative process and purpose of political action committees and knowledge of FEC regulations and state/local campaign finance laws. Strong attention to detail and people skills are essential. Computer skills are a must.
We are looking for a minimum of two to three years of professional experience in fundraising. Knowledge of Capitol Hill/PAC administration/trade associations preferred. Bachelor’s degree in political science, public relations or related field or equivalent in education and experience also required.
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) helps its members build communities.
