Michael J Hriljac DPM, JD, LLM, has announced his plans to retire following the Midwest Podiatry Conference in April 2018.
Dr Hriljac, a board certified podiatrist and health law attorney has been a licensed podiatrist for over 38 years. Mike accepted the position of Executive Director of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association and has served in this capacity since April 2011.
The IPMA is initiating a national search for his successor.
Candidates who have the vision, passion and ability to move the IPMA and MPC forward are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should be prepared to lead a team of professionals that manage the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, one of the largest state associations and the Midwest Podiatry Conference, a thirteen State Regional Educational program, one of the premier podiatric educational programs in the country.
The candidate should have knowledge of podiatry and a demonstrated ability to bring people together. They should be well versed with the legislative process, and the changing health care environment.
Candidate must be able to communicate complex issues to practitioners, educators, and to legislators. They must be able to facilitate discussion with members of diverse views. A strong moral and ethical stance is an important consideration.
