Assist the Finance Division and organization by providing accounting and finance project management support. Perform a wide variety of accounting duties with minimum guidance.
Execute all assigned tasks associated with month-end financial close according to the close schedule.
Responsible for the compilation of the Board-approved budget and uploading into the accounting systems.
Control the product codes lifecycle from product inception, to creation in the applicable modules, to import into appropriate accounting systems, to product deactivation.
Perform any accounting testing associated with software systems’ changes or upgrades.
Review contracts/sales agreements for invoicing requirements and submit timely, accurate invoices to payer for services provided.
Act as a financial point of contact between Management, Sales, and customers in order to research and resolve invoice and collection issues.
Complete ad hoc projects as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Finance or by the Manager, Accounting Operations.
Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.
Serve as back up for the Accounts Receivable functions.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 2-5 years comparable work experience
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Demonstrated proficiency in computer technology in a Macintosh environment
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning and organizing skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work well both individually and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information
Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously and to consistently meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:
Experience in non-profit industry
Experience with NetSuite financial management software
Experience with Adaptive budget software
