We are seeking a full-time professional who will spend half the time providing administrative assistance to the Executive Director and the other half providing communications/creative support for meetings and monthly publications. You will be dedicated to one very high-tough client, the FDCC. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a position that offers a variety of experience on several platforms.
Administrative tasks include:
-coordinating conference calls,
-organizing, updating and maintaining client master calendar
-assisting with vendor coordination
-assisting with maintaining association documents, policies & procedures, committee handbooks, etc.
-other miscellaneous duties as required or assigned
Communications tasks include:
-updating the FDCC website,
-design email newsletters and invitations,
-design meeting materials,
-content marketing through several channels, including social media (LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook).
-Monthly analytics reporting is also required.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate is ambitious, with knack for details, great proofing skills and a smile you can see through the phone or email; someone who strives for efficiency, has great time-management skills, and is willing to go the extra mile. We are looking for someone who is willing to “google” what s/he doesn’t know in order to learn more, or gain resources. In our culture, we need someone committed to working collaboratively, including with the Executive Director, staff, board members, and committees. In our small office environment you must be a self-starter who is also content to work independently and enjoy creating and implementing new initiatives.
Our ideal candidate has:
-Design experience (Adobe suite programs), and an eye for what looks good
-Mastered Microsoft Office
-Knowledge of website content management systems and database systems; YourMembership is what you will be working in
-Constant Contact/Survey Monkey experience
-Social media knowledge for posting, promoting and expanding our reach
We would like to see applicants with experience in marketing and/or communications and who hold a minimum of an associate’s degree. The FDCC is a busy client; we need someone who can keep a schedule and manage time well. Additionally, there is a lot of demanding client interface, so customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism are important at any moment. Past experience with associations or nonprofit organizations is also helpful but not necessary.
