Looking for a motivated candidate who wants to be a contributor at a dynamic, growing, 501 (c) 6 medical association. Ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative, communications and project management support to advance the goals of the Advocacy and Practice Affairs department. This position will monitor relevant state and federal legislation/regulation impacting the ASDSA members and their patients. Draft related correspondence or member alerts as needed. Be responsible for creating print, electronic and social media content and messaging.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an association (will consider recent graduate with related internship experience)
Bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, advocacy, government or related discipline
Strong ability to work independently and with a small team
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal skills
Strong interpersonal skills; deals effectively with conflicts
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Sound judgment and problem-solving capabilities
Detail oriented, thorough, resourceful, and self-motivated

Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet browsers and social media (Experience with government relations tracking & grassroots software a plus)
